This publication is about species of the genera Tricholoma, Armillaria, Amanita, Lepiota, Clitocybe. These genera are being revised by the following European mycologists: Marcel Bon (Clitocybe), Massimo Candusso (Lepiota), Pierre Neville and Serge Poumarat (Amanita), Alfredo Riva (Tricholoma e Armillaria).

The volume is in French and with the updates consists of 110 page sand 64 plates, its format is 26 x 35 cm .

In the work of six volumes more than 500 species of uncommon basidiomycetes are described and illustrated with excellent colour plates including microscopical characters. This enormous work completes the mycological floras which include only common species. In particular the sixth volume is about the systematics of all the described species and not with the relative synonymity and bibliographical references.

This publication divides the original five issues into two volumes which includes species of agaricus which for the most part are from northern Europe. The text is in two languages, the original in English and the complete translation made of G.Lazzari are in Italian. It includes keys of the species and their descriptions. The Author, an excellent miniaturist and mycologist, suggests the use of a magnifying glass to appreciate the anatomic details of the colour plates.

The first volume consists of 400 pages and 104 colour plates and is in 24 x 32 cm format; the second volume consists of 480 pages and 96 colour plates and is in 24 x 32cm format.
